This year also saw the largest year-over-year decrease, reducing 30 square feet. One of the contributing factors to this size drop is the increased availability of studios and one-bedroom apartments, which accounted for a historic share of 57% in the market. Smaller apartments have become more popular due to increased demand from single-person households and cost-effectiveness.
